Ride the World – Indoor Cycling (the “App”) provides indoor cycling route simulation and map and route exploration services.
This Privacy Policy describes the information the App collects, uses, and stores, and how third-party services are used.
2. Information Collected and Used
2.1 Information You Enter

Route search input: Start, end, and waypoint addresses or place names
Purpose: Route search, map display, elevation and distance calculation
This information is included in “Stored data” below only when you save it.

Place search terms: Place names or addresses you type in the search bar
Purpose: Display search results
Search terms may be stored in a recent search list (optional, on-device only).
2.2 Information Used Automatically from Your Device or Browser

Location (optional): The App may read your current location once, with your consent, via the browser’s Geolocation API.
Purpose: Set the initial map center.
Not sent to our servers; if you do not consent, it is not used.

Technical information: Browser type, screen size, connection environment, etc., may be sent in the usual way when the App calls third-party services (map, route, elevation APIs).
Purpose: Providing the service and compatibility.
2.3 Information We Do Not Collect
- We do not collect personally identifiable information such as name, email, phone number, account details, or payment information.
- The App does not require login or registration.
3. Stored Data (On Device)
The App does not store user data on its own servers.
The data below is stored only in your device’s browser storage (localStorage).

- Storage and deletion are driven by your actions (save/delete buttons, deleting from lists).
- Clearing the App’s data or browser storage on your device will remove this data.
4. Third-Party Services and Information Shared
The App uses the following external services for route search, map display, elevation lookup, and Street View.
What is sent to each service and how each handles data are governed by that provider’s policy.

- These services may process IP address, request time, coordinates, search terms, etc., under their own policies.
- The App does not sell or share data with ad networks or data brokers.
5. Retention
- On-device stored data: Kept on your device until you delete it or clear device/browser storage.
- Third-party services: Retention is governed by each provider’s policy.
6. Your Rights
- Delete saved routes: You can delete items in My Routes within the App.
- Delete recent searches: Use in-App delete or clear browser storage.
- Location: You can deny or revoke location permission in browser or device settings.
- Inquiries: For questions, use the contact information provided on the app store or project page.
7. Security
- Use of the App over HTTPS or other encrypted connections is recommended.
- User data is not stored on our servers; only on-device storage is used.
- Third-party API security policies apply when those services are used.
8. Children
The App does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 (or the applicable age in your jurisdiction).
If a parent or guardian believes a child’s information has been collected, please contact us.
9. Policy Changes
- This Privacy Policy may be updated due to law or service changes.
- Significant changes may be announced in the App or release notes.
- Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
- The date of the last update is shown at the top of this document.
10. Applicable Law and Jurisdiction
- For users in the Republic of Korea, the Personal Information Protection Act and other applicable laws may apply.
- Disputes are subject to courts with jurisdiction under applicable law.
